dirty water??

I am running an 8 gallon with 1 betta and 1 balloon molly in.

The water has started to turn cloudy, when you look into the tank you can see what I can only describe as white particles almost dust.

These are sticking to everything even the fish.

Any ideas what this is?

I have done a 50% water change which did help.

I thought it might be a bacteria bloom as I have recently move fish from this tank to another.

All water parameters are great.

OK looking closer at the fish I am Starting to think this is ich. I thought the cloudy water was sticking to him. After doing a 50% water change and left to settle the tank is now quite clear. The betta has got what looks like sliver dust on his body.

Do you think this is ich?

I've never seen ick floating around the whole tank as a cloud.

perhaps the fish have ich AND there was a bacterial bloom.
