Rummies and guppies are very different. Guppies really do not shoal and tend to spread out if comfortable. In short, the shoaling behavior is simply there to confuse the predators. Spreading out however allows many opportunities for the angels to wipe all the guppies as they are not confused on whom to eat.Rummynose Tetra's seem to be the only one with looks that I would almost want, but their size seems to be very similar to that of my fancy guppies, maxing out at 1.5-2". So I almost have to wonder if maybe I were to breed up a large enough school of guppies... Is there a possibility that they would be ok and live all happy when in a shoal?
Rummies are tight schoolers. They will school around whether they feel secured or insecured. These are also far bigger than guppies actually and least likely to be eaten unless the angels you have happen to be P. altum.
5 ft.Lupin, What size aquarium would you suggest for a minimum if I were to want say... 3 angels and 3 or 4 discus?
