its a 55 tall tank but we decided against the discus right now they are too expensive. and i already knew about the fire eel which can pottentially reach 30" and are going to be upgrading the tank in a couple years once hes about 10" to at least 120 gallon. we ended up getting a rather friendly jewel chiclid and a blue gourami. we also go 2 gars( which i know can get up to a foot) we will need to do tank upgrades as these fish start to get bigger and we knew that when we got the eels. the peackock is only 4" long fire eel is about the same but not as fat and the barred spiny is still super tiny only around 3" the catfish are only 1.5" and the yoyo is around the same. they seem to be happier with more fish in the tanks they come out alot more offten scince we put them in so thats good. thanks for all your help were saving the discus for a few years down the road when we have the money to really make the tanks the way we want them.
