Discus "shivering"

Hmmm.
One of my adult discus "shivers" once in a while.. Is this some sort of precurser to spawning?

the two have been paired up for some time... One of the other males, Though much smaller just kicked the bucket.. Maybe they will spawn now?

the dead one was picked on alot by this guy...

Yes, the "shivering" or "shimmying" as I call it is behavior prior to spawning. It may go on for a while, but they are definitely flirting! And flirting leads to spawning.
 
Does this fish shimmy when it is next to or near another fish, one in particular? If so I'd say this is pre-spawining activity and maybe you should do a large PWC with cooler water and feed some live foods to entice them.

Shivering can also indicate parasites in the tank and that may have been the cause of the death of your BD. I think you should post a pic of each of your discus to see if they are sick or not. Are any really dark? You said the BD was dark before it died. If it was parasites the fish would have been dark all of the time and not just on occasion.
