Discus Turning into PARANA???

my discus shred my cories. I still have not found an answer

But it just started? They have bin with albino cories for 6 months with no problems. These guys have bin there for 2 weeks and they are spotted cories. After a week 1 went now the 2nd one is getting eaten.

Mine will occasionally chase my smaller Clown loaches, But I have never seen them attack anything other than live cherry shrimp.

then again I do not have any coreys either.
Maybe thats what happened to all my otos....

:pc:

I always have otos in my discus tank and cories and rummies and amanos and have never had them go after another fish. When i do water changes the amanos scurry all around the tank all disturbed, sometimes right in the faces of the discus and the discus pay them no mind at all. I kept albinos in with them for a couple years, moved them out to get smaller false jullies and still have no problem. But my cories never exhibited any fear of the discus. The amanos stay under cover as do the rummies. The rummies live in the plant thicket full time. And I have a few black neons that are not afraid and swim out in the open freely. I think that a lot of smaller fish cannot overcome their fear of bigger fish possibly eating them. It's in their genetic makeup, part of their survival. So if they act frightened, they are sending all the wrong signals in that tank.

You should see how fast an ember tetra can eat a newly hatched baby pleco!

ALSO I got Rummy's in there and they are doing fine BUT I see a few other Corie's with messed up tails. I guess Corie's are NOW on the Menu?

Discus are Cichlids!!!!!!!!!!!!

BINGO!!!!!

remember as a result of this, sometimes they may exhibit those characteristics associated with Cichlids.

;)

Well they don't like my spotted Corie's! They took out a 3rd one today.

My albino's Corie's seem to be not on the menu - at least for now.

makes me glad I keep my cories in an Angel tank... but No oto's there..mine like oto's...for food.:mad2:
