Where in Orange COunty do you live (north, south...) because that's where I live and I've never heard of "wild" koi or giant shelled turtles! box turtles are temperate animals that hibernate in the winter. it could have easily survived.fballguy said:I was at my grandparants in October fishing off a bridge and caught a box turtle. i think they are in a few more citys then long beach. i am 5 miles or so away from long beach and there is a pack that used to live in my high school. i have seen fish that dont belong in almost every park lake around.Evan214 said:Someone stated above that there is a Monk Parrot population in the wild in Chicago.
