Disprove Global Warming!!!

Math is math is math. It is what it is. It remains the only objective and empirical way to explain the world, which is why Science uses math as its lingua franca. Science wishes to explain reality from an empirical and objective perspective, and does not wish to explain reality through belief, necessity, or how people 'want' reality to be. Reality exists independently of our wants, needs, desires, and beliefs.

This is why scientific consensus should trump every seer prophecy, or 'gut feeling' ever.

The consensus now is that there are major 'changes' being wrought by anthropogenic causes. It is not necessarily global 'warming', but a shift to a world of greater extremes.
There is not a consenus on this subject. A large and repressed body of science is very skeptical that humans play any significant role in global warming. Al Gore cites 'censensus' and 'settled science' whenever he dodges yet another offer to debate the subject from a dissenting scientist.

Mancaused global warming is a theory, not settled science.

Dixienut the specifically said it is not necessarily global warming. But to think that humans have not plated a huge part in the direction the world is going is just plain stupid...hence the consensus.

Here is an Idea.

Instead of trying to stop Global climate change, which has happend several times in Earth's life. We as the population of earth should try to ADAPT to our changing climate, so that when it does get COLDER in a few hundred years we will be prepared and it will be an easy transition.

Besides, A global warming cycle has always preceded a much, much larger cooling cycle.

Also to say that this was directly caused by people is totaly rediculus. If you look at a geological Timeline, The exsistance of the human race DOESN'T EVEN REGISTER AS A BLIP. We can't do that much damage that quickly.

Just my two cents

Youre right! The dinosaurs didn't recycle so why should we?

And they whine about the "methane released by herds of cows and pigs".
Imagine standing behind one dino!

Senario:
You looking at dino from behind >
Dino goes > poot!
you go...

Who exactly is repressing all these dissenters? Where is all their research? People keep talking about all these big bad boogeymen who have vested interests in global warming being real, but the majority of the "bigwigs" and people who have real power (ie large corporations) have vested interests in disproving global warming. With such strong backing in the skeptic's corner, why is there still such a dearth of credible information on the skeptic's side. And before you say there isn't, then why have no skeptics on this board been able to produce such credible, repeatable information? A bunch of papers written by a small handful of scientists does not a consensus break.

No single multi-cellular species has ever had the impact humanity has had (at least not in the last half billion years).

We've deforrested entire continents- spread other species from their natural habbitat- directly made extinct most of the world's "top" predators and largest animals.

The is nowhere on the surface of the planet you can go and not see or hear evidence of humanity.

To me, apologies ahead of time, but to say we can't impact the environment is extremely naive.

Name one other species that can pump billions of tonnes of oil from a mile below the surface and release the locked carbon into the atmosphere.

Goverments have been ignoring that fact for years and years. Now most are taking notice because they have realised that they can tax us heavily on anything involving energy or fuel or anything realating to the two. I hope that the money is used for green issuses and not more wars guns or any other goverment favourites. The world sucks and it all had to end some day. I've already bought the wet suit.

Yes while people have detroyed this that and the other. Natural events have done that too.

I honetsly could really care less about global warming, there are bigger issues that need to be resolved NOW.

But what I'm saying is that people such as Al gore need to shutup, get on with their lives and leave the problem in the hands of the people who actually study this for their job. Because constantly bombarding the public about it is not going to solve the issue.

So if you can find where a large percentage of Geologists believe that humans have screwed up the earth, and that it has not happend before via large scale volcanic activity, shifting of the Earth's core... then I will submit.

However America, and western europe could go as green as they wanted, but it wouldn't even do crap because overpopulated areas such as India, and china Are going to dump whatever the **** they want to in their rivers and air.
