After many hours on craigslist and contimplating whether or not to buy another tank I think I will have to put the whole Pred tank (150G +)on pause for the time being. Instead I will turn my 29G FW Planted into my little pred tank spending little to no money in the process, and make my 27G Qt tank my FW planted. Plans as followed are putting about 2 bags of eco complete into the 27G transfering the water column along with the filter media so enable a nice and easy (no cycle) move. I add the filter Ill have now AC 70 (w/ refuge) to the 29G. I would make the 29 cycle less as well by taking the LS and LR from my 240G into my 29G.

That being done I would want to add some stock so far the only thing I would want to put in there is a green spotted puffer, What other fish could I put in there? I have heard of people putting a snowflake and when it get to big giving it up (germanman) More than likely I would have a bigger tank by the end of the year, so if I did that I would be able to house it in more appropriate quarters. What fish would do good in a 29G? w/o being overstocked? Also will my puffer nip at any other fish housed in the tank? Any imput would be helpfull.

How about a Tang?

:D

No seriously though- I don't know too much about pred tanks but can you mix the green spotted puffer with a Valentini puffer?

I've been researching dwarf puffers lately and keep reading they can be in 30G tanks. Not sure how accurate that is but if so, that'd be pretty cool.

Disclaimer- I was kidding about the Tang!

oh.... I was going to put a purple AND yellow in there......... oh well....

ACTUALLY, I was reading As well and I could put a valentini puffer or a hawaiian puffer as they both require 20G minimum. I am also looking into getting a keyhole angel. I think I will get a small snowflake, and a arch eye hawk. Still looking for suggestions.
