Dither Fish

I have a 55 gallon cichlid tank with a JD, blood parrot, and one convict...what type of dither fish can go in this tank and how many? Would adding them overcrowd the tank??

I don't think you need dithers with that mix.

Really the JD and Blood Parrot get too big for a 55g....they both reach around 10" when grown....hopefully this is a grow-out tank and you will be upgrading before they get too big.

As for dithers I have heard Swordtails are a good choice.....but you are pretty crowded in the tank now and probably can do without any.
