I would like too add some dithers too my ram tank, the male is relentlesly attacking the females no damage but it bothers me seeing it happen lol what would be a good idea i need something that wont interfere with the breeding process?

I would think anything will atleast try and eat the egg/fry but you could try tiger barbs mabey??

Would'nt tiger barbs be a little to aggresive for my tank and also i know any fish could be athreat to eggs and fry but maybe a peaceful fish with a small mouth might work a little better ?

any small schooling fish that dont dart around taht will agitate you when you look at the tank, possobly rasboras or small tetras

i think iam gonna put a small school of 5 neon tetras from my other tank in as dithers but i think this might overload the tank (3 german blue rams,1 otto plus maybe 5 neons) in a 20 gal. ?

Any tetra will work as a dither, but they also make excellent fry predators, and the more of them you have, the larger the toll they will take on your spawns. If you use tetras, don't do more than three.

An even better option, if you can find them are pencil fish (have small mouths not built for eating fry), or hatchet fish (top water fish, not built for grabbing things off the bottom).

What about a betta?????
