Ive got a divided 5g minibow with two males in it and a clear divider. Will they ever get used to each other and stop flaring or should I put in a different male?

I remember reading somewhere that eventually they get used to seeing each other and do calm down. However, that is a very stressful environment for them. It would be a good idea to make or buy an opaque divider.

No they will never stop flaring. It's in their nature. The only time I suggest keeping two males is when they are in their own tanks with lots of plants where the two tanks meet, this way the line of sight is broken up quite a lot and the betta will get distractions in his own tank. This is only way I keep my males together. It still does not stop them from flaring but it is definitely less intense. The only time they will stop is when one of them gets older and most like is nearing the end of his tether.

Ditto. However, sometimes you will get laid back males who don't seem to care once they figure out they can't get to each other. But, I'd just rehome or sell one and then keep the one you keep in the full 5g.

its only temp for the two once i set up my 10g setup i just bought.

and i ended up swapping the alfa out for a small, younger ct male.

if it is a glass divider you can etch the glass with a bit of acid (forget which kind) to cloud the view and ease the tension.

Careful with males in the same tank even with a divider, one always manages to jump to the other side.
