Ok so i would rather divide one tank then have two small 5 gallons.The thing is i can't figure out how long i need the glass for a standard 10.I need to divide one tank in half and the other one in half but long ways.how would i be able to get the glass in the tank to silicon when theres a rim permitting me.i'm using glass because i'm turning one 10 into a shrimp and one into a dwarf cray tank split long ways.Any ideas

Slide the glass in diagonally. You will want to drain the tank and silicone in the glass. You will want to let the silicone set for a few days afterward before filling back up with water.
You can also put a permeable screen in the tank. Remember, if you use glass you will need some kind of filtration on both sides.
Yea i know but i need glass since there shrimp tanks and they could get through the screen

Remove the rim while putting in the divider then seal in the divider and reattach the rim at the same time.
