I was just wondering how you were going to keep the background from floating? I was thinking silicone, but it doesn't stick to acrylic very well.

chefkeith Its going to get covered with cement so I don't think it will float.or at least I hope not.

Thanks jamzwayne I'm going to tint the cement so its darker. I'm pouring a cement floor so I'm seeing how the cement goes on and drys. I'm going to wait till I get the tank built b/c I need it to cure the cement.

here aer two more pictures

ditto. you'll need to put on a lot of cement to get that thing to sink. water weighs 8 lbs/gal. For every gallon of foam there, you'll need over 8 lbs of cement to get it to sink in water.

I hope it will sink.....Keep in mind the background is 62" long(two pieces at 31") and the two pieces can be attached together once in the tank. I have some smaller pieces that I'll cover and see how much cement is needed and if they will still float. Thanks for the info I'll keep everyone posted

If it won't sink and you're not too concerned about being able to remove it, you could silicone it to the back.
