DIY CO2 question

I set up my DIY CO2 last night and noticed that I don't get a bubble every 5 seconds but instead every minute or so I get alot of bubbles (in a spurt of a second or 2). This also happened the first time I set it up (this is the second time). I'm not sure if this is ok or not or how to fix it. Any help would be great if this is a problem.
 
This will generally occur when the mixture first starts to cook. After a few hours it should level out. If not, my thought is that your mixture is not getting the job done, or you have a leak in the CO2 line at some point.
What is the recipe you are using for mixing the yeast/sugar/baking soda?

With those ingredients, if your yeast is good and active and you have no leaks in the line, you should be getting good bubble action for 2 weeks.
Have you checked for leaks? Are you mixing them in tepid water? Keeping the yeast warm will result in better interaction.

i don't think i have leaks because when i squeeze the line a bubble will come out of the end. The bubbles are coming out more frequently now but they don't come out one bubble at a time but still a bunch in one spurt. It's hard to explain, I hope I'm doing an ok job.

Are you giving the bottle a good shake ??? what are you diffusing with?
 
yes i have shook the bottle well. Right now I have the tube going into the intake of one of my filters, but I'm thinking of changing this because it gets to loud with all the bubbles at one time (not sure what else to use though--looking it up now)
