DIY CO2 Rig Breaks When Adding Second Bottle

So apparently the issue with my CO2 system has to do with how I've added the second bottle to the system. When I attach 1 bottle the system works fine but as soon as I attach the second bottle no more bubbles.

The system with the two bottles looks like this (minus the reactor and the check valves):

I can't think of where the issue is. I'm thinking maybe the gas coming from the two bottles is competing with each other. I'm thinking maybe have the T connector at the Gas Separator bottle instead of between the two generator bottles. Might this alleviate the issue?
 
Maybe there is a leak somewhere along the line. Or maybe the pressure in both bottles have to take soem time to rise to get it to bubble. How long do you wait for bubbles to come up after adding the second bottle?
 
I think one of the plastic connectors that I was using between the 2nd and 1st bottle was leaking. i changed it out and it seems to be working now.

yay for faulty equipment :headshake2: at least it's working now
