amazing tank. I really love how the plants have filled in to make that nice carpet. I bet the fish love it, it has such a natural feel to it.

I actually put some HC on top of my cork to the left and it's just above the water line and it has attached itself to the cork and grows really well.
I do have to trim the carpet about once every two to three weeks to make sure it doesn't get too thick and float to the surface of the tank.

Wow! It's looking really nice! Hmm, I think my new HC will be in trouble or maybe I'll try some on a floating cork piece, no CO2 here.
Yes maybe a little bit. But i know a couple of people that have done this and its been about 2+ years and it's still holding strong. I figure it's got at least a good couple of years.
I have some HC growing on my cork on the left side and it's out of the water with the roots in the water and it grows really fast. It's right under the lights and has really attached itself to the cork. It's under high light but since it's out of the water it can get all the co2 it needs and looks great with no algae issues.
Here is an updated photo. I had to tear down the tank when i moved to virginia but i put it back up.
