Hey there,
Recently i went to a nature park where i found this beautiful piece of log of wood which might have been hacked of by the tribals living there mostly for firewood...
Neways i loved the piece so much thati took it home...and now i wish to make a driftwood out of it... wen i got it, it seemed pretty dry but as its a piece of a thick brach or something i cannot say if it has totally dried up...
I've read a few threads and articles regarding driftwood on the forum adn i have the following queries..
1. Would baking the wood help to make sure the wood has dried out completely?
2. I'd jumped the gun and as soon as i got home with the piece i cleaned it up with a brush thoroughly and soaked it in boiling hot water and i'm doing this since the last 2 days...
3. I havent yet actually boiled the wood because the piece is pretty large..and i dont really think i have a large enough pot...
4. If baking is possible do i first dry the wood now by keeping it under the sun and then bake it or just simply dry up the surface n bake it? Also i've never used my microwave oven myself so dont really know if it has a temperature setting...any other means to know wot should the settings be to bake the wood and how should it be baked?
5. Are the any other means to turn this piece into a driftwood?
