DIY Feeder?

I tried searching on this site and on the internet and did not find anything useful. Is it possible to make a diy fish feeder? I like the regularity of machines - gives me more time to enjoy them, but at $40-60 each they are a bit pricey. Any ideas?

Sorry, but I really dont think building an automatic feeder would be easy.

It would be also risky because if it failed and dumped all the stored food into your tank, your fish would be in trouble.

I tend to watch and control the diet a bit more. Would not want it automatic.
