DIY gravel siphon

My siphon broke a few weeks ago and I haven't been to get another one. I realize that they are only a few bucks, but I'm all about DIY. Anyway, I wanted to do a water change, so I got to thinking and guess what?! A water bottle fits right onto a water hose....I cut the bottom off the water bottle and fastened it to the end of the hose (which is plastic) and there you have it. Instant gravel siphon! Now I'm not sure that I'll ever buy one?

good deal. I thought about making one out of PVC but i figured it would be too much of a pain not being able to see inside of it.

Well, I didn't take any pictures, but here's a basic breakdown.....

I use a hose with a plastic fitting on the end....and you would need to remove the lid from the water bottle!
