Since I just got shrimp, I needed something to protect them from getting sucked away when I go clean the tank.
I know people use pantyhose or media bags but since I had 2 of those plastic grids that people here use to make moss walls that weren't being used, I decided to make them into screen/strainers.
It was pretty easy. Just traced the outline of the larger siphon part and cut it out. It took some trimming but it works.
Since the openings are a little larger than I had hoped, I decided to stack 3 layers together.
Currently, I have them at where the vac starts to taper into the tube. Problem is I can't see if anything is stuck in there so I think I'll sorta squeeze them into the clear part.
It's pretty easy to understand how to put it together but I'll take some pictures of it tomorrow.
