DIY - Root Tabs

No, just use distilled water to mix it. There is already plenty of iron in the RedArt clay. There's a site that actually listed all of the ingredients found in RedArt Cedar Heights clay and it had a good amount of iron in it. If I find it again, I'll link it here.

Would terracotta clay work instead of the red mexican clay? Thats all they had at my jo-anns.

I THINK terra cotta is red pottery clay.

The reason for using the red clay is because of its iron content.
The clay itself is also a nutrient for the plants.

I have had these in my tank for about a month, and am totally impressed.

Thanks for the recipie Riiz!

thought I woudl post some before and after pix..
Put the root tabs in on may 26. Just added new ones on June 22.

First the before pix, and then the after pix.
Same plants. Nothing changed but the addition of the root tabs.
