this is pretty cool. but why? i dont quite understand what purpose it serves

Smaller African Cichlids.

The author was going to use it for African Cichlids.

These systems are great to use when you have a marine tank with live rock and corals. That way current can be sprayed onto every inch of your rock and corals. Or you can just spot the current in only some parts of the tank and leave the other without it.

UGJ's are great at moving water around helping to reduce dead pockets in the tank.

They are intended to keep crud from settling and rather keep it floating until its eaten (food that would have other wise settled) or filtered (Poo that would have other wise settled)

lol i know what GPH means. i was asking what the GPH of the pump was.
