For the last couple weeks my cory cat has been swimming fine but every once and a while, he stops and just rolls over. The water parameters are fine and he is eating and swimming, he just rolls over in a corner and stays like that for a couple hours.

I first thought it might be a swim bladder infection because he seemed to be feeling fine but it's like on and off.

Any Thoughts out there?

Epilepsy or some type of seizure??

Maybe he just wants to play dead. That would freak me out too but I would guess that he is comfortable too.

Maybe there is no such thing. But it may be a seizure. Anything with a nervouse system can have a seizure.

Either way it appears to me that your fish either has a psychological problem and enjoys it, or a genetic brain/nervouse system problem.

I have never heard of any disease or parasite or tank condition that would cause something like this.

Send him to a fishy shrink!!
