I've got an over abundance of java moss in my 5 tanks, and rather than just peridocally tossing large clumps of it away, I was hoping there might be a better solution that would also add some variety. Are there any tropical fish that eat java moss? In the past 7 years, the only critter I've had that would eat the stuff was one of those 4"-5" red crayfish. However, at the moment, my tanks are a bit crowded to accomodate something that large, but a few 1"-2" plant eating fish would work.

Plenty of snails seem to have spawned from the java moss, but they don't seem to eat it...or maybe I just have the wrong kind of snails.

Best thing to do is take your extra Java Moss and to your LFS. They are usually more than willing to take donations, offer trade or even pay $$ for it!
