I bought a Bumblebee Catfish 4 days ago and still haven't see it anywhere in the tank after the first couple hours. Do they always hide this well?

If you have one of the SA bumblebee catfish (like they carry in PetSmart), then yes, they're nocturnal so they do hide.

I've had the SA and they remain hidden. THe only time I ever saw them was after lights out and then they would be pretty active. One used to swim up and down in the corner of the tank but onl when the lights were off. I had them for years and never saw them with the lights on.

I had one many years ago. Other than when cleaning the tank and moving the rock it hid
lived under, it would occaisonally be very briefly glimpsed if the light was turned on after the tank had been dark for some time. One of the fastest-moving fish I'd ever seen as it dashed for cover.
