Do CAE's damage aquarium plants?

I bought two CAE's today... one white, the other white with gold, and I was just wondering if they eat aquarium plants such as:

Anubias nana
Corkscrew val
Anacharis

I ask because I can't keep them in the aquarium I intended to keep them in. So I'm forced to put them in one of the planted tanks.

None of the websites with info on these fish (that I've seen so far) describe whether they are plant safe or not.... just that they "prefer plant matter" which I'm not convinced is true.

On a side note, most of the info I read was gripping about how agressive the fish eventually gets, and it's poor algae eating habits. I think these are great fish albeit they should be kept with very carefully chosen tankmates or in a species tank setup.

TIA

no thye dont eat plants, only algae i have heaps, there very easy to breed

thanks for the reply. I decided I would have to find out for myself and just observe them.

Good news is that they seem to prefer bio slime to my plants. ;)

An interesting thing about the particular fish I got is that I cant locate any pics of other white CAEs. New color morph?

in there world there is no such thing as plants, only algae wafers and yes bio slime is the clear and gooey stuff that grow's on other fish.
