no am a early 70's baby, but raised in a 60's household. i teach, so h.e. hinton rocks - i keep pawning him and steinbeck off on my science kids. they thank me later when their literature teachers are coo-ing about what a good book that was when they were young.

I've only read two of Hinton's books. Rather read Steinbeck.
