Do frozen bloodworms smell?

Never noticed any odor. I used to buy them in packs of little frozen cubes in sealed plastic blisters on a card. Just pop out one when needed. Sealed in there, no odor. I've not bought any for a number of yaers, but I imagine nothing has changed. Keep them inside a ziplock freezer bag to keep everything contained as possible, if you want to be absolutely clean about it.

+1, i have a few packs in my freezer now, as well as some mysis shrimp. They dont smell at all.

Now if you let the cube melt in your hand you will smell it.

frozen fish food doesn't smell at all, IMO. i have in my freezer at any given time: brine, mysis, bloodworms, krill, silversides, daphnia, spirulina brine...... yeah, spoiled finkids, lol.

I don't know, maybe I'm "sensitive" but thawed frozen foods do a have slight smell to me. Brine shrimp is a bit different than mysis or bloodworms but not while still frozen.

At the moment I have frozen bloodworms, brine shrimp, omnivore mix and beefheart. None of them smell while they are frozen.

My boyfriend doesn't like seeing that stuff in my freezer, so I put the fish food in a plastic container. I think he's afraid I'll cook him some bloodworms by mistake. :evil_lol:
