I'm a little stumped by this and wanted some opinions.
We started out with 3 platys (panda, orange and red). The red platy was a bit smaller in size than the other two. We noticed that it kept getting chased by the gold platy. Panda seems to does his own thing and pays no attention. Then within a week of purchase, red dies!
We took red back to the fish store and they test a sample of water which indicated the water was on the hard side (tap water which has since be dechlorinated). They replaced the platy which we choose a mickey mouse.
Now mickey is being chased by the gold platy (they're the same size).
Is gold just agressive? And why isn't it chasing Panda?
BTW, they're in a 10 gallon tank.
