Do I have a common pleco/SAE?

Common plecos will greatly exceed 12 inches, IF feed properly.

D*mb it!! Aren't those the ones that get really aggressive and stop eating algae once they are older?

I have one in my parents 29 community tank(danios, gourami, cories) and it hasnt shown any aggression in the 6 months they've had him. He cleaned my parents VERY dirty(algae) tank in 3 days! I have the bigger one(3.5'') in a 29 by itself for now, it loves to dig in the sand. I usually leave the lights on longer in that tank to promote algae growth. I put him in my 55 peacock tank and he cleaned the glass in about a week without fighting with any other fish. I watched super close too cause I didnt want him messing with my gold nugget.....no problems at all(except catching it).

the fist one is a common pleco, the 2nd looks like a chinese algae eater.the pleco canget over a foot long & will need a 75 gallon or bigger soon. :p:

They I believe are CAE they all look like the pic from rockabilly, except for 1 it doesn't have the stripe at all just the little spots?

The pleco I don't know if it's the common or sailfin, if it is the sailfin I may be able to keep them would they be ok in a 55 & 75? One in each tank...if it's common...anyone have a big tank and want them? :)

Ok I have been looking at pics of chinese algae eaters and I donno, the one's I keep seeing have a very pronounced line but the pic that rockabilly found looks so much like mine now I'm even more confused so I am going to look some more and see if I can't get a better pic of mine.

Thanks for all the help so far btw :)
