Do I have adequate filtration?

Hey everyone - My 55g's running a Rena XP3 and 1 whisper 20. Thinking about adding another whisper 20, if it's neccessary. The tank holds freshwater non-cichlid fish.

My 29g's running an Emperor 400. I currently have 1 convict and a pleco in it. Will be adding 2 more cichlids shortly. Should I add my extra whisper 20 to this one instead?

What are your thoughts?

Thanks for the comment on the rock cave. That picture is a bit dated. That tank is now holding the convict. I made the cave out of aluminum rain gutter downs spouts. I used a dremel to cut out the openings and used silicone to glue the section of gutter together and the rock onto the gutter as well.
