Do I need to clean my reef flo pump?

soak it in pure white vinegar for a couple hours, then scrub brush it clean.

Right, just make sure not to submerse it in anything. If there's scale in the impeller housing, you can put a bit in there. Otherwise, scrubbing the housing and wiping it down seems to work just fine.

Nothing really... I think what Amphiprion was saying was just use a toothbrush to clean it out and if there is some hard stuff stuck where the impeller is then get a small cup with 50/50 vinegar/water and dip the toothbrush in that then scrub the hard stuff off. It should come off pretty easily with just that. Then rinse real good before putting back in the tank. I don't think a little vinegar in the water is a bad thing though, but do what you can to avoid it... I know some people that use Vinegar with Kalk in top off water and have no problems, so it can't be that bad for the tank compared to many other things.
