heres my issue, i have an AH supply duel 55 setup (with the 36 bulbs) on my planted 29g (flurite, tabs, fert and compressed co2), and I am going to be getting a larger show tank 45-55g. I would prefere not to get a whole new setup if i don't have to, so is 110 going to be enough?

primary:
Amazon Sword
Ruffled sword
amazon sword compactia

I also have:
anachris
stargrass
hornwort (I think)
brazilian pennywort
green foxtail

the reason i am not sure i still have hornwort is i dosed with excel to fight some staghorn algea and i think i nuked it. I expect the stargrass and foxtail won't make it at only 2 wgp (they are already having issues at 2.5) but what about the swords, anachris, pennywort and hornwort (if it survives)

The swords are my main thing, followed by the pennywort that I REALLY want to keep.

If you're already having some trouble at 2.5 wpg, you've pretty much answered your own question. Are the others doing well with 2.5 wpg or just maintaining? How's the growth on the swords, anacharis, pennywort, etc? If they are doing well, you'll probably only notice their growth slowing down without any other adverse effects.

Maybe you could just add a 2 bulb 4' shop light with Flora Sun bulbs. You would only need a couple water proof endcaps in addition to the fixture (under 20 bucks at Home Depot) and bulbs. Maybe add a reflector to boost it a bit. 190 watts should be good for the 55 easily.

everything but the starflower grows like a weed, the swords especially have done well with one monster especially putting out a flower and a couple of runners (tanks been up since late march). everything but the stargrass and foxtail in fact grows great. the foxtail though has been having severe algea issues and i get the feeling is just barely getting enough light. the stargrass definatly needs more wattage so I know its not going to make it, but I can accept that if it saves me buying a whole new setup. Its the swords and pennywort I primarly am concerned with.
