hi all, im also thinking about getting a couple of newts to fill a curently empty tank, this has answerd alot of the questions i have also been asking, one thing i dont know though is, do they need a heater or will they be ok at room temp? Im sure im not the only person here to have problem with a lack of pug sockets in my room...
Also, will they mix well with dwarf frogs?

well np and i don't think they'll need a heater the temp. should remain cool around 68 75 degrees or so correct me if i'm wrong anyone and i don't know about the ADF's i think if they're small enough the newt might mistake them as food and try to eat them or a part of them. i wouldn't risk it unless the ADF's could outswim a newt.

ITs best not to mix Newts with ATFS.. just not a good thing to mix amphibians.
No need to stress each other out with competion for food.

But please check out this thread, it has a lot of really good newt information, problably the best we have done since i have been on this forum.
