I'm pretty sure i have a dead pleco that i can't find. I want to keep my water clean so i have doubled my water changes. Could i get a crew of snails to find and clean up some of the fish? I planned on getting snails anyway.

I've seen snails eat dead fish. I once saw a snail eat a live fish... freaky.... anyways, snails will help.

That is freaky; how did the snail catch the fish?

Cool, think i may go ahead and get the snails tomorrow. When ever I set out crab pots I see snails, conch, all over the bait so i thought the snails would help.

I have no idea how it caught the fish...

Looked everywhere i could. Its been alittle over a day since he went missing. I wish I did more research on them; had two of them. One was acting weird while my other fish were fine and he died. Three days later the other pleco starting acting the same; now he can't be found. After some research, i hate to say, I think i starved them to death. I think he may be under my slate; I tried sucking it out with my gravel vacuum with no luck.

ewwwww.

good luck with that.

If a snail caught a live fish, that fish was on it's last legs anyway. There isn't a fish around that will stand to be rasped to death by a snail.

Snails love to eat dead fish, btw. Plenty of protein there.
