Do snails get the hiccups?

I don't mean that literally. In August I added a Mystery Snail to my tank and he seemed to be very healthy doing all the things that snails do. But about 2 days ago I started to notice him "spassing out". He just starts shaking randomly. Sometimes he'll be on side of the tank, start shaking, fall to the substrate and just lay there, half in, half out of his shell. Anyone know whats going on?

epileptic snail? I've seen them have gas but nothing like that. How big is he?

He's not really large enough to be dying of old age. You could always ask MsJinkzed to see if she has a clue

I have a kuhli like that, he's actually "bent" mis-shapen now, the saddest thing, but he's still alive and been that way for over a month. Ironically I dosed their tank with tons of cancer causing chemicals to get rid of some ich and fungus like six months ago, he and a dojo that were in the same tank are now that way. like they had strokes or something. I quaranteened them, treated them with everything I could think of, and they are still crippled.

I have a mystery snail that does that sometimes. the spasm usually last no more than a second, and he falls off stuff left and right. But, do they get hick-ups? good question and the answer may be philosophical...... ;)

Sorry for not following up and replying to everyone. I went away and forgot I had this thread! Everything seems to be OK now. Snaily McSnail Snail (my girlfriend named him/her) is doing fine now. I haven't witnessed a spasm in a while. The only problem now is one of my housemates keeps asking if he can play with him/her...

Thanks to everyone who replied and offered help!
