I will be setting up a 55g rainbowfish tank and will be adding my 6 " polka dot synodontis i was wondering if i could add a troop of cories? He has a big mouth!! I'm guessing dwarfs are out.

polka dot synodotis look alot like feather fins if that helps.

I think the synos will attack the cories. I've heard of synos bullying/injuring cories before.

I have a synodontis nebulosus that will try to kill everything, even hands that go into his tank.

He's like 10 years old though, and is well established in his tank.

Yes his bites hurt.

Not Synodontis eupterus or Synodontis angelicus? I tried the former with my cories before with no problems but this is only my experience so please do not rely on this as this may or may not work for you.

i had a syno (upside down cat and i dont remember real name) and it killed a cory and a raphael. i seen it go right after the raphael as soon as i put it in

i had a feeling that the responses would be half/half.

I researched this and it seems that it would be a problem if not in the beginning but as they fish age and get more Territorial, the synos may become aggressive to the cory cats.

I had a polka dot synodontis and he was mean with all bottom dwellers
