do u need special lights?

i say moss is one of hardest plants. for me. i can never grow them nicely while other people just throw it in their tank and theirs come out super nice..
i tried with little lights, strong lights. i cant figure it out a way to grow moss.
if youre going to cover the bottom, its much easier if you use riccia, and when they pearl, theyre really nice.
