i personally think the balloon variety of any fish is rather unnatural looking.

If it doesn't hurt the fish, why not, I don't see how it's cruel. I 'fishsitted' a few weeks ago and there was a balloon Molly, it acted just like the rest.

My understanding is that balloon mollies, at any rate, have a higher rate of health issues and decreased lifespan as a result, because of the spinal deformity. That ranks as cruelty and "hurting the fish" in my book, even if it doesn't affect every specimen, and isn't constantly observable.

I don't agree with it because most times the fish end up with life shortening deformities. And I usually don't find them aesthetically pleasing, even though I do feel pitty for them. They couldn't help it.

I personally don't agree with intentionally partially deforming a fish but voted the "only" option. The sad fact of the matter is people will continue to tamper with nature and if they will continue to do so, I hope it would be in a way in which it does not affect the fish severely.

What about the "Deformed" Goldfishes?? The No Doral fin, the 2 tails, the Orandas, the Lion heads??

See above.

short bodies fish and balloon fish are different. balloon fish often will have bent spines and huge stomachs. a true short-bodied fish will just have a short spine.

that said, i dont really like the option "yes always"...some fish just are not meant to be balloon, while others are ok. this will still warrant a yes option. the middle option doesnt work for this, because a balloon or short bodied shape will always effect the fish.
