Do you consider this overfiltered enough?

I have a 90 gallon tank and im planning on using sand for a substrate and putting in potted plants (dont even know how to have a planted aquarium yet im doing research on the filters first) I will be stocking the 90 gallon aquarium with 2 tiger oscars and either a jack Dempsey or one or two bichirs (most likely sens) will a Aquaclear 110 power filter and a marineland magnum 350 over filter my tank very well? or should i replace it with a bigger wet/dry filter that can filter more water .. son on and so on...I just dont want it to be noisy splashing water is fine i enjoy a cascade but NO BIG VIBRATIONS!! Thanks for all the help!

first of all... those two oscars stock that tank to the max (acctually overstock it in the opinions of some oscar people), so adding other fish with them is out of the question.

as far as filtration goes-- you are fine

Too small for 2 oscars. The filtration looks fine.

I think the oscar will decimate any plants.

Yep...two full grown oscars would put a serious bioload on that tank, and its not too much room for them to get away from each other. Plus, yes oscars tend to rearrange plants as they see fit. If you choose a few smaller fish that are more appropriately sized to the tank, that filtration would be fine.

welcome to ac pm sent

I use a MAG 350, Mag 250, and 2 Penguin 350's on our 80 gal, your filtration is adequate.......:)
