how many of you have those backgrounds you stick the wall-side of your tank? just curious =]

i'm considering getting a panoramic poster of a buddha, or some such interesting thing, laminating it, and sticking it to the back of my tank (somehow). Any suggestions on adhesives?

The best one I've ever used was a cheap velvet/velour knockoff I bought from the fabric dept at Walmart. I had heck getting it to stay in place (only duct tape will hold it), but when I did it looked pretty good.

i used a 3' horizontal poster of jim morrison on my 40 gal. it lookes really cool, but was dark, and hard to see. i mounted a cheap flourescent light behind it on the wall right behind his eyes, it looks sooooooo cool. too bad water spilled over the back and trashed the poster.

I have a styrofoam and cement background, I did a horrible job making it and it still looks about 10 bazillion-poopillion times better than anything I've ever used in the past (painting the background, rock work, picture things...)

I have a $1 piece of colored poster board behind my planted tank. It is dark blue.....It looks way better than those LFS backgrounds, which is on my 55. My 42 hex has nothing, which isin't all that bad, oddly enough.

The nice part about the poster board is that if I get bored with the color, then I can change it anytime I want to for about $1!

I was cheep to. I just look at the wall behind my tanks for a few days after I cut out all my plants. I would get a background but I never can find anything that fits in with my tank and how I keep it set up.

Nope, no cheesy background here. Well, unless cardboard is cheesy. I am waiting til I hit an office supply store to pick out a couple pieces of posterboard. It may not even matter after my plants fill in.

NJDevils Fan told me to get black construction paper and tape it to the back of my tank. Cheapest & best idea yet.

NJDF, where are you?
