do you have a cheesy background?

I have a background that I bought as a generic tank background. It basically looks like a continuation of my aquarium.... many of the same plants, same gravel color, deep blue behind the plants. It is a lot less cheesy than the one on my stepdaughter's tank upstairs, which doesn't match the contents of her tank.I didn't bother trying to attach it to the tank. I just stuffed it in the space between the wall and the tank. My tank is on a built-in windowseat, and so only the front view is visible anyway. And yes, before anyone has Qs about the window part of the windowseat, the window is blocked to prevent direct sunlight from coming in.

I've got glossy black vinyl on the back of some of my tanks; it looks great. It has enough gloss to it that you can sort of make out reflections in it, which is cool. Then one tank has no background, and another is painted blue (it was painted when I got it; as most of my tanks were picked up second-hand).

I have a $1 piece of colored poster board behind my planted tank.

i went with this idea =] black, though. but i just noticed something! the UPC sticker got put toward the glass! whoops. i'll just stick a silk plant in front of it. it looks good, though!

After I look at mine for a while, I get tired/bored of most colors. Blue and black look the best IMO. White is horrible. The color of the water comes out too much, and makes me want to put carbon in my filter(the water has a slight brown tinge to it). Thats why I do things cheap like......

i finally got around to trying a scrap piece of that black sticky vinylused to make signs on a 10 gallon tank. except for a few air bubbles i need to take care of yet it turned out real nice. i am now planning on getting more of it and using it on my new 45 breeder's back, sides, and bottom.

I'm not sure about "cheezy" backgrounds but, one like this would be just a bit "stressful"!
