Thats really cool that the shrimp has algae on him. It actually looks good IMO.

I am not sure if the algae is on the shrimp or in him. LOL They all love to forage in the algae and I guess it isn't doing any damage. But it is an example of what happens when you put your tank by a window that gets afternoon sun.

That IS algae -- 100%. Personally, I don't like the way it looks -- plus it ends up choking off the regular plants and gets into the filter piper and clogs them up as well.

Personally, I think it looks pretty cool but is you don't do anything about it, it will overwhelm your tank.

I know. But everyone seems to really like it. The shrimp are always grazing in it and the corys love it too. My bamboo shrimp practically lives in it. I feel bad knowing that I will disrupt everyones life.

no matter how much you think you can pull out, you're not going to disrupt anything. algae like that is there to stay.
