People can still reply, right? I do, I do! Q-Tanks are the only way to fly when adding fish to an existing tank.

Yep, I use one too....going to have to keep my fish in them longer though. I had my female blue rams in one for about 2 weeks and after I added them to the 29 I found they had red nematodes hanging from thier vents. (blah!)

I read up on these nasty critters and found that they need a crustacean to complete thier cycle and I don't have any, so I'm hoping that the other fish don't get them, but I'm treating them all anyway with a food that has some anti-parasite meds in it for internal parasites. So far 2 of the 3 rams are doing well, one won't eat so I don't think she'll make it (I have her seperated). The other fish aren't showing any signs yet, but since I didn't see any on the females for 2-3 weeks after I got them...I'll have to wait and see.

Hey, I'm new at this..lol..and make all the newbie mistakes, like lacking patience in adding fish. Well, at least I HAVE a quarenteen tank...lol...for all the good it does me if I don't use it properly.
