I have some smooth river rocks that I have in my tank. Will Java Fern, Moss, etc attach to it or should I find some that are rougher? I have a decent piece of driftwood that I've started my Java Ferns on, but I don't think it's big enough to hold all the mountable plants.

As to Java Moss, does anyone put it in their co2 reactor?

Thanks,

The more porous, doesn't exactly have to rough, just have openings that the moss can attatch to , the better it will stick to the rock. Lava rock, and theres one other type thats white lookin you see a lot of the time at walmart and it usually has a fake plant attathed to it, I cant call the name of it but I think it starts with an N. These area 2 that I know of to be good for growing javea moss, but you don't "have" to have them.
