Does anybody collect wild snails?

I'm not sure what the people in the West have, I usually just joke that they have nothing but NZ Mudsnails out there.

That's funny, vampie. NZ mudsnails are the only snails that are banned by my state. I don't even know what those are.

Of course they're banned, no one wants them spreading any further. They're small, hardy and very prolific, and have displaced and endangered many native snails simply by outcompeting and overwhelming them.

I would qt for at least one month, this way any parasites they could be harboring would die without a host.

Just QT long enough to dose 'em with copper sulfate, that will kill the parasites... :devil:

I would collect wild snails. But all I have around hear is just ugly old pond snails. They reproduce way too much and my koi love them.
