I've worked retail. The dorks were always easier to deal with than bad co-workers, because the customers usually aren't there every single day. Currently, I have very limited contact with the general public, but I'm constantly amazed at the type of questions that do get asked, as well as the general attitude. I've had people call and ask if they can get their money back because they bought a fishing license, but didn't actually go fishing. Or, better, they went fishing and didn't catch anything.

I don't work with idiots really.....just whiners and complainers....it's a local elementary school and someone is always whining about the administration and the decisions they make and things they do....yaddayaddayadda.....get's real old real fast...

Here is an unbelievable retail story..
I worked as a manager at a large hobby chain. One January, I had a woman come in with this bag and in the bottom were two EXTREMELY rotton pumpkins. She had a register receipt from October and wanted a refund on her pumpkins because they had rotted. :duh:
For the life of me I could not make this idiot woman understand that they were REAL pumpkins and ALL real pumpkins rot!!! LOL She simply could not grasp this concept.
Believe it or not, I went a head and refunded her $5 just to shut her up and get her out of there. :thud:
Now I'm a stay at home mom. Yep, I still deal with idiots..or at least people who do idiotic things. Unfortunately...they are either related to me or me!

Now, Harlock, I didn't say that stay-at-home dads are idiots. Besides, I was teasing anyway. I have worked in retail also before I had kids. And then I waited tables. Yep, you get to deal with idiots there too. I'd much rather deal with crying babies and dirty diapers anyday.
