their Cascade 1000 Canister set up w/ their tank? Im purchasing one this week and am curious to see how it looks set up.

The best photo I can think of is a tank without a Cascade filter. You really should reconsider your purchase. A lot of negative reviews come in about this line on the cichlidforum.com review section. http://www.cichlid-forum.com/reviews/view_product_review.php?id=1060
Not that other filters don't get a few unhappy customers, but this one gets too many for me to not consider it a stern warning. Plus people I know who have worked in stores that sold them report a very high return/exchange rate. Lots of leaks and noise issues. Mechanical failure once in a while. Overall a cheaply made product that will not hold up nor do as good a job as other products.
If money is an issue look around for a deal or a good price match on a Rena, Eheim or even a Marineland C Series. You'll be glad you did. Trust me.

looks like theres more good than bad, but i really dont want water all over my room. this is stressing me out really bad. that filter is pretty much the best i can afford.

Simply put - when presented with something that scores about a C vs. other choices that have scored an A, why choose the one that scores a C when the cost differences are minimal at best? Surely C is a passing grade but it's far from excellent.
She needs to talk to someone that owns a Cascade filter, not one that doesn't. Lots of products get bad reviews, more people complain than don't, that's human nature. And compared to other canisters, yes, this one isn't the best, but it is the best for the price.
Also, doing a simple search for Cascade turned up many good reviews from forum members, many more than the bad.

thanks, ive seen your tank before when i was just browsing. i like it a lot, and im sure your Os are happy : ) the filtration setup is nice. for my 55 im just getting 2 penguin 350s and my penguin 200. when i upgrade his tank, ill get a canister and go more complex with the filtration.

I have a cascade 1000 and have had it for a few months now. No complaints here. no leaking. low noise. nice spray bar. pumps a lot of water. Sorry... no picture now but I'll see if I can get one for ya when I get home.
