Does anyone keep Cyrtocara Moorii with Mbuna?

Also...how would you rate the aggression of these?

I've been trying to keep a 'nice' tank, especially wiht me wanting a Fire Fish in there.

I've read a few conflicting things about the Johanni so I'm a little unsure. My books say they are mild to moderately aggressive whilst some sites say they are as bad as Auratus.

Nah mate, no problem.

His name is Mal Rimmer and he is based in Southport.

I haven't actually been to pick up fish from him as he delivered the fish to me himself free (he was in my area - what a service eh!).

This is his advert:

Can't recommend enough, so lucky to have someone like this so close. He does post as well if you can't get to him. Email him as well if you want something that isn't listed - I have done and he has loads more not listed.

To be honest, his fish are bigger, cheaper and healthier than anything I've seen in a shop.

Check the link that appears below. The info is short but accurate, IMO. Pics are very nice. I think it can work since you are adding your most aggressive species as the last one. Tough decision, no? But remember: 1M, 4F. Juvies of both genders are orange-yellow and males will color up getting black with light blue, when around 6 months, I think.

Aw God, I don't know.

They are beautiful, and will look stunning in the tank, I just don't know if I'm prepared for any aggression issues that might unfold. 2 minds.

I was hoping to add a FireFish you see which is of course a Peacock, but should be fine with what I've got. Can also get Jabobfreibergi, Red Rubins, Red Dragons and Red Shoulder for that elusive peice of red I was looking for.

Don't know. Will make a decision very shortly.

Decided Efors, not doing the Johanni. I've love em, but just can't do it.

You know I really appreciate your advice. I basically decided my entire stocklist based on you and the Bull's advice. :-).

But, I just don't want to take the chance with em, and would rather get some arty farty fairy doily Peacocks instead - like a few single males.

:lol2:You know what, Kop? After all, I think you are taking the right decision. And yes, a few single male peacocks can give you the touch of red that you want.

Well, I like a lot the A. jacobfreibergi strain known as "Eureka Peacock"; beautiful red and blue fish. Also, the Albino Eureka Red has more red on his body.
These peacocks have also a lot of red:
A. sp. German Red
Red Spot Nyassee
A. sp. Maleri Rubin Red
A. sp. Albino Rubescens Red
And of course, your Fire Peacock
