I sent a simple email to the company asking about some of their policies about their plants. no response yet!!!!!! i have a feeling that it is a trashy company. Any experiences with them?

You will have a difficult time getting most people to express strong negative feelings about on-line outlets. There have been law suits filed over these types of responses.
I personally, have no experience with the company in question, so I can't help you out one way or the other.

This is coming from a total plant newb, but I've used APD twice, and have been completely satisfied with their service in every regard. Their website seems a little bit "budget" but I love what I got from them. HTH

It is called free speech my friend. I believe that the lawsuit that you are refering actually didn't go through. People have opinions and they should be able to express them..

I expressed myself just fine
APD is fine from all accounts I have ever heard.
They will get back to you , just keep after folks if you have an issue. They will do you right.

The other issue about saying your opinion is fine, do it. Real companies have better things to do and waste their time on and the plaintiff went bankrupt playing his nitwit little hobby as he called it.
Ultimately he was the biggest loser I've ever met on the web, pretty sad truthfully and huge waste on everyone's time, especially his.

I think it reinforced free speech in the end. Don't commit slander or commit tortious acts, but you have every right to your opinion certainly.

If so and so wants to sue you, they can fly to your local area and file a compaint there, the EDNY is not the world's bully to sue everyone, jurisdication plays a huge role in this.

Anyway, APD is a good company by all account I know of.

Tom Barr

They sometimes mess up orders a bit but they will fix any mistakes right away for free and pay shipping. Their plants are great, healthy, have done fantastic for me. Some are small like the anubias but the swords and bunched plants are great. Also our water lily for our fish pond came from them. It survived our Massachusetts winter in a small pond that almost froze solid.

More information would be good. When did you send your question? Did you send more than one email? It's easy for a big company to misplace one email one time. No big deal. Now if you have sent them a half dozen emails over the last month, with no response, that's a problem.

i just sent two emails with no response. I might go with another online store just becuase of the not getting back to me thing

Good thing. If you're not comfortable with the customer service then don't risk it, plain and simple. But for the record I've ordered twice from aquaticplantdepot.com and have no complaints.. but then.. I didn't *need* to complain. If I did need to complain and customer service was a long time in replying to my emails then that would be good incentive never to buy from them again.
